• Image of OVERFLOW, New York Installation Photograph

This site specific artwork Overflow was a debut solo exhibition at SoapBox Gallery in Brooklyn, NY from April 13-26, 2012, and was later installed at the Union Gallery at the University of Kansas, September 14th-October 6th, 2012.

Overflow conjures thoughts of farmland, barns and brimming silos. Seeds are important and are traded as a commodity. Cycles of life happen whether we understand the process or choose to bury our head. Our land, resources and life are laid out in front of us, one moment at a time. What will we do with what we are given?

This 8"H x 10"W and 11"H x 14"H photograph is a documentation of the site specific installation at SoapBox Gallery in Brooklyn, NY in April, 2012. The installation included the artist with friends finding and reclaiming wood pallets to make the structure and 1000 lbs. of GMO farm corn from New Jersey spilling out of the form. Packets of organic corn seed were offered to the viewer with the above statement.
